Linda Sue Raithel

March 12, 1957 — September 17, 2015

 Linda Sue Raithel, age 58, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born March 12, 1957, in Marshall, daughter of Bennie and Betty Hazell Korte, who preceded her in death.
On November 8, 1980, in California, Linda was united in marriage to David Raithel, who survives at their home.
She was a 1975 graduate of California High School.
Linda was employed with the State of Missouri, first with the Missouri Highway Patrol and retiring from the Department of Natural Resources when her health began to fail her.
Linda enjoyed working on craft projects, painting and making quilts for her family. She was a genealogy buff, spending time discovering her family history. She was an avid participant in the Moniteau County Relay for Life. However, her greatest enjoyment came from being with her family, especially the time she could spend spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of more than 34 years, she is survived by two sons, Nick Raithel and wife Cindy of Eugene and Brandon Raithel and girlfriend, Courtney Rackers of Jefferson City; one brother, Jeff Korte and wife Ronnie of California; one sister, Peggy Flippin and husband Gary of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, Emma, Henry and Kaden, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville with Pastor Ken Mathes officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Sunday, September 20, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Moniteau County Relay for Life %Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, 5414 Simpson Street, Russellville, MO 65074.
