Leroy Ernest Leman

Leroy Ernest Leman, age 77, of Gravois Mills, died Friday, May 28, 2010, at Lake Regional Health Center in Osage Beach.
He was born November 18, 1932, in Elgin, Illinois a son of Ernest and Elizabeth Kachelmuss Leman, both deceased.
Leroy married Florence Rust on March 29, 1952, and she preceded him in death. On February 21, 2004, in Urbana, Illinois he married Dorie Joy Jennings and she survives at their home.
He was a carpenter by trade and a member of Carpenter's Union 558 in Illinois.
In 2008, he and Dorie built their lovely home on "J" road. He enjoyed woodworking, making wood rocking horses and was an accomplished landscape portrait artist.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons and five daughters-in-law, Curt and Becky Leman of Hampshire, Illinois; Ken and Leslie Leman of Champaign, Illinois; Glen and Sheri Leman of Arcola, Illinois; John and Nikki Leman of Pekin, Illinois, Jason and Charmaine Leman of Couperville, Washington and Aaron Leman of Charleston, Illinois; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Paulette Leman of Bethany, Illinois; Doreen and Lee Navel of Oakland, Illinois and Laura and Dan Levad of Pocahontas, Illinois; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Joel and Cas Jennings of San Antonia, Texas; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Deweese of St. Joseph, Illinois; one brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Lola Leman of South Elgin, Illinois; a step sister, Carolyn Ahle, also seventeen grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph Anliker, one son, David Leman, one brother, Robert Leman, a half-brother, Richard Anliker, a stepbrother, Melvin Anliker and a stepsister, Lucille Peters.
A celebration of Lee's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 12, at the Crossroads Church, 680 Beachwood Drive, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079, with Pastor Tony Corado officiating. A luncheon and fellowship will immediately follow the service.
