Leonard Ray Gass, age 73, of the Ivy Bend community near Stover, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was born July 17, 1945, in Knoxville, Tennessee a son of Thomas and Lillian Ramsey Gass.
Leonard was a sheet metal mechanic for most of his life, working in the heating and cooling industry.
Retirement brought him to the Lake of the Ozarks, where he could enjoy fishing and the solitude of being outdoors and near the water.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Gass of the home; two daughters, Patricia Ogle and Rebecca Woodford and husband Mark all of Knoxville, Tennessee; four siblings, David Gass of Knoxville; Kathy Grandpre of Auburn, Georgia; Linda Barr of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Faye Pressley of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; dear friend, Melinda Wade of Ivy Bend; three grandsons, Corey Wayne Ogle and Turner and Dalton Woodford, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Donnie Gass and two sisters, Elsie Ruth Maples and Doris Jean Johnson.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
