Leon H. Viebrock

Leon H. Viebrock age 80, of Stover, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was born February 24, 1930, in Stover, a son of Henry and Louise Koch Viebrock, both deceased. He was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont. On April 27, 1958, Leon was united in marriage to Fern Dell Anna Kerksiek at the Christ Lutheran Church in Stover.
Leon was employed with the Emma Creamery in Stover, the Mid-Am Creamery in Windsor and retired from the Morgan County R-I School in Stover as a custodian and bus driver.
He was a lifelong, active and faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont, serving on the church council and as cemetery sexton.
Leon enjoyed attending the sporting events at Stover High School, going to auctions, playing pitch and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by Fern, his wife of 52 years; four children and their families, Becky Groves, husband Kirk and son Brandon of Branson; Nancy Boles, husband Robby and their children Chad and Emma of Stover; Skyler Viebrock, significant other Missi Koch and their children, Kaylee, Hailee, Niklas, Madison, Madelyn and Keirsten of Versailles and Sharon Sidebottom, husband Gregg, daughter Gabriell and Leon's 11th grandchild, who is due in August of Stover; one brother, Lorenz Viebrock and wife Geneva of Sedalia; one sister, Clara Klein of Stover; sisters-in-law, Vi Dale and husband Melvin and Evelyn Hedges and husband Richard, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was also preceded in death by three children, Donald Lee, Donna Fern and Marla Kay Viebrock, three brothers, Elroy, Harry and Albert Viebrock and three sisters, Agnes Fischer, Josie Bockelman and Alma Holtzen.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 13, at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont with Rev. James Banner officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, July 12, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont.
