Larry James Edzards, age 70, of Stover, died Friday, March 30, 2012.
He was born August 8, 1941, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a son of Clarence John "C.J." and Matilda Eva "Tillie" Wieman Edzards, both deceased. On May 4, 1962, Larry was united in marriage to Lela Mae Davidson at the First Baptist Church in Stover. Lela survives at their home.
He was a 1959 graduate of Morgan County R-I High School in Stover.
Larry and his dad operated Edzard's Implement in Stover, beginning their business in 1951 with a single tractor from South Dakota. They worked side by side until his father retired due to poor health. Larry continued operating the business until his own health began to fail him this past September.
He was a faithful and active member of the Stover First Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon since April 27, 1975.
Larry truly loved his work. He, with his faithful dog "Tippy" at his side, looked forward to going to auctions to buy used farm machinery and scrap.
