Larry Don Crane, age 61, of Russellville, died Thursday, June 9,
2011, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He was born March 25, 1950, in Jefferson City, a son of Cecil R. Crane and Virginia Johnston Crane Flessa, who are both deceased. His father, Lowell Flessa, survives in Russellville.
On July 27, 1979, in California, Larry was united in marriage to Glenda Kusgen who survives at their home.
He was a graduate of Russellville High School and Linn Technical College.
Larry was employed as a truck driver for MFA Exchange in Lohman and Tambke's Petroleum in Russellville.
He was a volunteer for the Russellville/Lohman Fire Department, coached his son's T-Ball teams and was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr., fan.
He is also survived by three sons, Steven (Jennifer) Crane, Sedalia; Nick (D'Arcy) Crane, Jefferson City and Nate (Elaine) Crane, Russellville; three daughters, Michaela (Randy) Kremer, Russellville; Stacy (Jeff) Spurgeon, Lee's Summit and Rockie (Jason) Crane, Russellville; two brothers, Tom Flessa, St. Louis and James (Becky) Flessa, Russellville; three sisters, Deborah Crane and Cathy (Kevin) Zumwalt, all of Jefferson City and Deborah Kay Cabaza, Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; ten grandchildren, Zachary and Gage Crane, Brooke and Bladen Kremer, Dalton Spurgeon, Kendra and Jack Besche, Stella Marie Crane and Audrey and Erica Robson, also nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Larry was also preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, David Flessa.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville, with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Larry D. Crane Memorial Fund.
