Kristin Renee "Krissy" Harris, age 38, of Mora, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia.
She was born July 22, 1973, in Sedalia, a daughter of Cleo and Hazel Ellison Fethke.
Krissy was united in marriage to Steve Harris on July 22, 2000, at the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage. Steve survives at their home.
She was a 1991 graduate of Morgan County R-I High School in Stover. In 1996, Krissy received her Masters in Education from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.
At the time of her death, she was a speech pathologist for the Benton County R-I school district in Cole Camp.
Krissy was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church, the ASHA, the Cole Camp CTA and MSTA.
She was an avid reader and also kept busy scrap-booking. She enjoyed the dolls given to her by her husband and continued to add to her collection, she also enjoyed collecting dishes, scrap-booking and spending time with her sister and mother visiting local wineries.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Cleo and Hazel Fethke of Versailles; a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jerry Holsten of Florence; a brother, Greg Fethke of Florence and his girlfriend Luesa Schader of Sedalia; two nephews, Schuyler and Alex Holsten of Florence; her beloved Yorkie and Silky Terriers, Midgi and Mopsey, also other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, at the Florence United Methodist Church with Pastor Nick Veale officiating. Interment will be in the Florence United Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, December 26, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kristin Harris Scholarship Fund.
