Kent Alan Klein, 63, of Tipton, MO, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Tipton Oak Manor. Born on September 17, 1960, in Sedalia, MO, he was a son of Warren and Margaret "Maggie" (Watring) Klein, both of whom preceded him in death.
Kent graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO, in 1978 and went on to attend State Fair Community College and Columbia College.
A gentle soul with a beautiful singing voice, Kent's senior year in high school was highlighted by a memorable choir trip to Europe, where he cherished the opportunity to perform in various notable locations, with his favorite being Italy. He was a member of Tipton First Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir for many years.
Kent worked at Quality Industries in Versailles, MO, for many years, earning the admiration and affection of his colleagues with his generous and thankful nature. Known for his gentle spirit and positivity, he found great joy in spending time with his family, especially during special family meals and holiday gatherings. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his two sisters, Karen Brauer of Tipton, MO, and Marcia Arnett (Jim) of Hermitage, MO; two brothers, Kevin Klein (Casey) of Farmington, AR, and Kyle Klein (Jackie) of Red Cloud, NE; and eleven nieces and nephews: Stacey Wolf (Russell) of Tipton, MO; Chris Brauer (Miranda) of Syracuse, MO; Chancey Payne (Jeremy) of Carrollton, MO; Mandy Hays (Brian) of Rogersville, MO; Keri Klein of Sedalia, MO; Koby Klein (Kourtney) of Tipton, MO; China Goodwin (Blake) of Springfield, MO; Chandler Klein (Lauren) of Fayetteville, AR; Kayla Klein of Columbia, MO; Jalicia Tietjen of Norfolk, NE; and Abigail Reyes of Red Cloud, NE, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews and one great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kurt Klein and Kelly Klein; and his brother-in-law, Stanley Brauer.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Tipton, MO, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jared Rivera.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church.
The arrangements are entrusted to Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home, Tipton, MO.
