Kenneth D. Marriott

Kenneth D. Marriott, age 73, of Blue Springs, died Friday, January 25, 2013, at his home.
He was born February 18, 1939, in Morgan County, Missouri, a son of Herschel Jackson and Neva Alice Raines Marriott. On March 17, 1961, Kenneth was united in marriage to Carol Lee Pryor, who preceded him in death July 8, 2009.
Kenneth retired from A.D.M. in Olathe, Kansas after more than 20 years of employment.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Higginsville.
Kenneth was a true outdoorsman, who liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed guns and the opportunity to shoot and was able to go shooting with his son, daughter and grandchildren the week before he passed.
Survivors include his three children and their spouses, Steven and Donna Marriott of Excelsior Springs; Brenda and Matt Lewis of Buckner and Tim and Kristen Marriott of Kansas City; two brothers, Warren Marriott of Harrisonville and Ron Marriott of Blue Springs; three sisters, Georgia Sinclair of Versailles; Shirley Ferguson of Stover and Teena Simpson of Gravois Mills; eleven grandchildren, Jessica, Heather, Stephanie, Thomas, Shelby, Jake, Cassie, Tonia, Jordan, Kaitlin and Brooklyn; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kimberly Marriott; two brothers, Glenn Marriott and Dennis Marriott.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Dan Mahurin officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Park Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home on Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
