Kenneth W. Campbell

Kenneth W. Campbell, age 75, of Stover, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at the University Hospital in Columbia. He was born February 22, 1937, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, a son of Kenneth Wilburn Sr., and Gladys Childress Campbell. On May 23, 1980, in Stover, Kenneth was united in marriage to Ruby Metscher Bush, who survives at their home. He lived in the Albany, New York area before calling Stover his home. Kenneth was an over-the-road truck driver, driving independently and later as a company truck driver. Even after his retirement he enjoyed traveling, never losing his ability to navigate the shortest route to take. When he wasn't on the road, he enjoyed tinkering with cars and anything mechanical. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Scott Campbell and wife Rose of Macks Creek; David Campbell and wife Jamie of Holts Summit; Lonna Grant of Macks Creek and Bill Campbell of Macks Creek; two step sons, Ray Bush of Laurie and Dennis Bush and wife Debbie of Buckner; one brother, Duane Campbell and wife Marge of Seneca, South Carolina; sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson, Greg Bush. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Jimmy Metscher officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kenneth Campbell Memorial Fund.
