Kelly French

October 8, 1970 — March 7, 2025

Kelly French, age 54, of Stover passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

It was on the 8th day of October in 1970 when Robert James French and Nancy Claire (Munhofen) Parker welcomed their son into their home in Sioux City, Iowa.

Despite the health challenges he faced throughout his life, Kelly never lost his joy for living. He spent a significant part of his life in Portland, Oregon, where his love for the water flourished. Living near the ocean brought him immense happiness and peace, and he enjoyed boating and water skiing.

Kelly had a deep affection for animals, particularly his dog, Cindy. He also loved dancing and listening to Michael Jackson's music. As his health began to decline, Kelly found comfort in watching television, especially political news, while enjoying a cup of coffee and a few cigarettes.

Kelly's greatest joy, however, came from his family. He adored his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. His sense of humor was ever-present, and he was always ready to offer a caring hand. His ornery and stubborn nature was part of what made him so uniquely loved by those who knew him. Left to carry on his legacy are his two sisters, Sally LeClair and husband Chris of Stover and Susan Koeller of Sedalia; nieces and nephews, Tiffany French, Tanner Mackey, and Chris LeClair Jr.; and great nieces and nephews, Abby, Dustin Jr., Ryker, Eamon, Kian, Lilly, Marian, Nevaeh, and Christian.

In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of life will be scheduled.
