Kathryn Wilckens

Mary Kathryn Wilckens, 89, formerly of Pilot Grove, Missouri passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Four Seasons Living Center in Sedalia.

Kathryn was one of 5 children born to Hermann and Anna Clara Schupp Ries in Pilot Grove. She was a graduate of the Pilot Grove High School Class of 1943 and attended 2 years at the Draughons Business College in Sedalia. She worked for the Prudential Insurance Company in Sedalia and also Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Kathryn played the piano and organ for many years at St. Pauls UCC Church at Clear Creek.

She married Gilbert Wilckens on September 11, 1958 and he survives her.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; sister Martha Ann Brondel; brothers Clarence Ries and Harold Ries.

She is survived by her brother Walter Leroy Ries and his wife Rita of Rolla; sisters-in-law Dorothy Ries of Pilot Grove and Marie Ries of Bunceton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Kathryn Ries Wilckens will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove officiated by Pastor Paul Dawson with burial immediately following in the St. Paul Cemetery near Clear Creek. Pallbearers will be Jerry Ries, Jim Ries, Larry Ries, Jeff Brondel, and Rusty Anderson. Visitation will be from 1-1:30 PM prior to the service.
