Kathleen Rose Swan

Kathleen Rose Swan, age 61, of Eugene, passed away early Sunday morning, June 22, 2014, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility in Jefferson City. She was born March 3, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, the only daughter of Leland and Rose Marie Kovalenko Watts. On January 18, 1975, in Des Plaines, Illinois, Kathleen was united in marriage to John G. Swan, who survives at their home. Kathleen was a homemaker, busy raising her three children.  She was a very creative person, who liked any type of crafts, especially painting, crocheting and knitting. She had a green thumb and looked forward to working in her flower garden. Kathleen enjoyed playing Bingo, and her family was often the recipient of one of her hand written notes. In addition to her husband of 39 years, she is survived by three children, Shawn Swan of Eugene; Jonathan Swan and wife Jennifer of Elston and Jennifer Evers and husband Daniel of Eldon; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Samantha and Kole Evers and Lily Swan, four brothers, Bob, Bill, Mike and Mark Watts, along with other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Kathleen's life will be Friday, June 27, beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the Swan residence located at 9321 Jones Road, Eugene, MO.
