Karl "Windy" Eugene Collins

Karl Eugene "Windy" Collins, age 74, of Versailles, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was born May 27, 1936, in Nodaway County, Missouri, a son of Herschel Leo and Virginia Pauline Shelton Collins.
On March 9, 1985, in Morgan County, Karl was united in marriage to Dawn Weimann Garmany, who survives at their home.
Karl retired from Hibdon Gravel, where he was employed as a truck driver and machine operator for many years.
He and his family resided in Gravois Mills, before recently moving to Versailles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, William Collins, Steven Collins and Jeffrey Collins all of Missouri and Alan Garmany of Versailles; two daughters, Jean Ann Mendez of Missouri and Emily Collins of Versailles; five brothers, Donald, Bill, Jimmie, Jerry and John all of Missouri; four sisters, Virginia, Patsy and Joyce all of Missouri and Mary of Iowa; nine grandchildren, Brandi, Amy, Jesse, Christopher William, Christopher Michael, Travis, Katrina, Michael and David, several great grandchildren, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry Collins and two brothers, Albert and Dickie.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 10, at the First Baptist Church in Versailles with Dr. Todd Forman officiating.
