Juanita Lewis, age 95, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Independence and Florence, Missouri, passed away, Friday, May 23, 2014, at the Warsaw Rehab Center. She was born March 7, 1919, in Sedalia, Missouri a daughter of Alvin and Henrietta Cramer Randall. On December 3, 1934, in Sedalia, she married Oscar E. Lewis, who preceded her in death June 5, 1990. Juanita grew up in Sedalia. After her marriage she became a homemaker, busy raising her family. She and Oscar were longtime members of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Florence. She moved to Independence after the death of her husband, to be near her daughter. Two years ago she chose to move back to central Missouri to live near her son. Survivors include three children and their spouses, Jack and Judy Lewis, Ray and Aida Lewis and, Dixie Jean and Bob Holley all of Missouri; one sister, Fleica Mosier, Sedalia; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Larry H. Lewis and six brothers. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Florence, with the family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Private interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
