Joyce Ann (Williams) Draffen

Joyce Ann Draffen, 88, of Tipton, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at her home.

Joyce was born May 10, 1935 near Bunceton, MO, a daughter of Dwight and Ina Mae (Baughman) Williams. She married William Eugene "Gene" Draffen on May 17, 1953 in California, MO. Gene preceded her in death on February 4, 2021.

Joyce always enjoyed caring for her home and was an avid outdoors enthusiast. She was active in sports, coaching both of her daughters in softball. Joyce also enjoyed bowling, and golfing with her husband Gene.

She is survived by two daughters, Reneé Miller (Lyle) of Westwood Hills, KS, LaVena Hutchison (Dick) of Sedalia, MO; five grandchildren, Sean Miller (Rachel), Danielle Knoche (Stephen), Seth Hutchison, Cole Hutchison (Sadie), and Chance Hutchison (Kolby); 11 great-grandchildren, Mason Miller, Charlotte Miller, River Knoche, Addison Hutchison, Scarlett Hutchison, Younger Hutchison, Briley Hutchison, Ward Hutchison, Rennick Hutchison, Griffin Hutchison, and Marlow Hutchison; one aunt, Lillith Leonard of Tipton, MO.

In addition to both of her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, June Scott Gehardt.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Tipton. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with inurnment to follow at the Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pisgah Cemetery or the Hickman Cemetery.
