Joseph J. Gerlt

Joseph J. Gerlt, age 38, of Stover, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his home. He was born March 8, 1975, in Kansas City, Kansas a son of Ralph and Marion St. Clair Gerlt.
Joe was employed with the Special Road District in Gravois Mills for several years and also at the Gun Stock factory formerly located in in Stover. Most recently he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing on the family farm near Stover. Survivors include his father, Ralph Gerlt of Stover; three brothers, Chris Gerlt and wife Annetta, Johnny Gerlt and wife Christy and Wayne Gerlt and wife Patty all of Kansas City; two sisters, Bonnie Powel and husband Bob and Mary Devoe and husband William all of Springdale, Arkansas, along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Carolyn Reynolds. A Celebration of Joe's life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, at the Locust Baptist Church south of Versailles with Rev. Dallas Moritz officiating.
