Joan Frances Homan

September 28, 1944 — November 26, 2015

Joan Frances Homan, age 71, of Versailles, passed away, Thursday morning, November 26, 2015.
She was born September 28, 1944, in Stover, a daughter of Louis and Lois Clowser Lepley. On March 22, 1963, in Versailles, Joan was united in marriage to Donald Homan, who survives at their home.
Joan was a 1962 graduate of Versailles High School.
She was a devoted wife and mother, busy raising her four children. For several years she was employed at Gates, Inc. in Versailles.

The most important thing in Joan's life was Jesus Christ. She faithfully read God's word every day and diligently shared it with everyone she came in contact with.
Creating a loving home was a priority for Joan. She spent countless hours cooking and preparing food to ensure that everyone had a "bite to eat." Spending time with Donald and being involved with her children’s activities kept her busy, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
In addition to her husband of 52 years, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Curt Homan of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; Cindy and Darin Vandel, Missy and Danny Kumberg, and Mike and Shannon Homan all of Versailles; five siblings and their spouses, Fred and Lucille Lepley, Marie Markum, and Susie and David Edgar all of Versailles; Jeanie and Jerry Dooley of Lebanon and Kathy and Tim Jennings of Jefferson City; twelve grandchildren, Dara and Kaly Homan, Dylan, Alyssa, Noah and Saydi Vandel, Ashley Judd and husband Jake, Dual and Maggie Kumberg, Tyler Homan and wife Morgan, Mikela and Abby Homan, five great grandchildren, Gage, Gretchen and Gracen Judd and Reagan and Blake Homan, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
