Jim Wilson

October 26, 1943 — December 16, 2018

Jimmie Ray “Jim” Wilson, age 75, of Stover, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born October 26, 1943, in Stover, a son of George Melton and Wilma Marriott Wilson.  Jim married Karen Fischer and to this union six children were born.  He married Rosemary Bogenrief who preceded him in death January 18, 2013.

Jim was a life-long farmer, caring for his variety of animals.  He also kept busy cutting timber throughout Morgan County.  He worked various odd jobs in the area to stay busy as well.

He looked forward to being outdoors, either hunting or working in his garden.  However, his greatest enjoyment came from being with his family and friends.

Survivors include five children and their spouses, James Wilson and Jeff Wilson both of Stover; Melanie and Mark Sherman of Laurie; Monica and Johnny Dake and Melissa and Rusty Brown all of Stover; ten grandchildren, Jamie Brown and husband Robbie, Jessica Houk and husband Carl, Tyler Wilson and wife Britney, Kristin Wilson, Corin and Corben Wilson, Madisen Sherman, Weston and Whitney Dake and Makayla Brown, two step grandchildren, Heather Steward and husband Daniel and Josh Avey, seven great grandchildren, Resee, Raeleigh and Raustin Brown, James Henry Houk and McKinley, Kinzer and Jainee Wilson, three step great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Scott Wilson, a step-daughter, Shelly Avey, one brother, Harold Wilson and one sister, Betty Walker.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
