Jerry Leroy Stockwell, age 54, of Russellville, died unexpectedly, Thursday, November 25, 2010, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born July 1, 1956, in Versailles, a son of Albert Leroy and Iva Marie Johnson Stockwell, who are both deceased.
On July 29, 1995, at the Corticelli Baptist Church, west of Russellville, he was united in marriage to Tanya Call, who survives at their home.
Jerry was a graduate of Russellville High School.
At the time of his death Jerry was employed as custodian at the Cole County R-I elementary/middle school in Russellville, where he had worked for more than 20 years.
He was a faithful member of the Corticelli Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon.
Jerry was an avid baseball fan, who enjoyed both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals. He had an extensive baseball collection and also enjoyed playing ball with his boys.
He loved the time he could spend with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Stockwell and fiancee Amanda Visser and Matthew Stockwell all of the home; three sisters, Rosalee Shikles and husband Darvin and Linda Smith and husband Gerry all of Russellville and Carol Grisham and husband Mike of Eldon; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 29, at the Corticelli Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Stiffler officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday, November 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Corticelli Baptist Church Building Fund.
