Jennifer Lavene Knight, age 61, of Stover, Mo passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Golden Age Living Center with her family by her side.
It was on the 29th day of July in 1963, when Darrell and Anna (Ryun) Kirkman welcomed their daughter, Jennifer, into their home in Maywood, California.
In 1964, The family moved back to North Kansas City, MO. Her father Darrell remarried Linda Stansill in 1972 and her mother Anna remarried to James Black in 1973.
She was a 1981 graduate of Oak Park High School in North Kansas City, Mo. She completed EMT courses in 1985 and worked for Mid MO ambulance for several years.
She married the love of her life, Michael Alan Knight on November 19th 1988 at the First Baptist Church in Stover, who survives in their home.
Jennifer was always ready for a night of BINGO. She also looked forward to watching WWE every Monday and Friday evening. However, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and grandbabies. She loved her family with all her heart.
She knew Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was a member of Stover First Baptist church where she was baptized and participated for many years.
In addition to her husband of 36 years, Jennifer is survived by her mother, Anna Black of Stover; three children and their spouses, James D. and Amanda Knight of Stover; Brandi M. and Ryant Brown of Stover; and Ashley D. and Kyle Hedrick of Stover; nine grandchildren, Vincent, Wyatt, Alexander, Raymi, Weston, Rynleigh, Kash, Riverlynn, and Rowan; two siblings; Darlinda and Clinton Lewis of Indiana and Step brother Danny Wilson of Collins; Along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her father; Darrell Kirkman, step mother; Linda Kirkman; step father; James Black; father-in-law; Otis Knight; mother-in-law; Benita Knight and two siblings; Jan Sinclair and Step brother Lonnie Thomas. One brother-in-law; Larry Sinclair.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:30am at the Stover First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Roe, officiating. A meal will be provided at the church following the service.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church on Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jennifer Knight Memorial Fund.
