Janett Carolynn (Hopkins) Briscoe

Janett Carolynn Briscoe, age 77, of Tipton, MO, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.

Janett was born December 10, 1945, in Versailles, MO, a daughter of Gordon and Hellen (Bellamy) Hopkins who preceded her in death.

She was married to the love of her life, Thomas G. Briscoe.

Janett worked as a nurse at Centerpoint Medical Center and John Knox Village. She was a member of Tipton United Methodist Church where she was very active. Janett was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Briscoe; four children, Travis Briscoe (Shannon) of Archie, Traci Mortenson (David) of Jefferson City, Scott Briscoe of Lee’s Summit, and Joe Briscoe (Sara) of Vienna; eight grandchildren, Sidney, Cole, Taylor, Morgan, Elias, Dillon, Paige, and KarLeigh; four great-grandchildren, Oakley, Walker, Kallen, Kaisley, and two great-grandchildren on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Roy, Joetta, Roxie, Billie, and Sandra.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Tipton United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Facemyer, officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will take place at a later date.
