Jane Stull

Jane C. Stull, age 77, of Stover, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at her home.
She was born Mary Jane Stull on February 16, 1938, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, to John Sheldon and Lillian Hutchinson Cave.
She and her brother John (Jack) were raised in Idetown, Pennsylvania and attended the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Dallas, Pennsylvania.
Jane graduated from Lake Lehman High School and furthered her education at College Misercordia in Dallas, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English, with a Music Major. Following her graduation she was an elementary teacher for the Wilke-Barre area schools for years. She was also a substitute teacher at the West Side Area Technical School in Larksville, Pennsylvania.
Jane married Ronald Arthur Stull and the couple raised two children, Nicholas Neal and Dene` Elizabeth Stull in their Kunkle, Pennsylvania home. After seven years of marriage the couple divorced and Jane raised her children as a single parent. Following her divorce Jane was employed at Offset Paperback Manufacturing Inc. in Dallas as an account representative for Berkley Publishing among others. She remained employed there for more than 20 years, until her retirement.
In August of 2001, Jane came to Missouri to visit her daughter and new granddaughter. It was then she decided to make Stover, Missouri her post retirement home. A year later Jane purchased a farm north of Stover where she raised two of her grandsons and remained until her death.
After retiring she did not quit working. In 2004 Jane was employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce as a field representative for the U.S. Census Bureau. A position she held for more than 10 years until her death.
Jane was more than a hard worker and loving mother. She loved her grandchildren and did all she could to see her family was provided for. She was a very compassionate woman, who loved animals and helping others. For more than 10 years, she was a 4-H Horse leader in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania and very active in the 4-H program. In addition she was a former Cub Scout leader, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and found great pleasure in helping people with special needs.
Jane is survived by her son, Nicholas N. Stull of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter, Dene` E. Stull and her partner Michael Hibdon of Versailles; grandchildren, Christy L. Stull, Las Vegas, Nevada; Nicholas N. Stull, Plymouth, Pennsylvania; Talisa J and Weston C. Hibdon of Versailles and two great granddaughters, Julianna and Emma-Mae Stull of Plymouth, Pennsylvania.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents John and Lillian Cave and her brother, John Sheldon (Jack) Cave.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, with Rev. Kevin Barker officiating.
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated with inurnment at a later date in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery Shavertown, Pennsylvania.
