Jan Marie Sinclair, age 52, of Stover, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, October 19, 2014, at her home.
She was born December 26, 1961, in Kansas City, a daughter of Darrell L. and Ann Ryun Kirkman. On March 6, 1981, in Kansas City, Jan was united in marriage to Larry Sinclair who survives at their home.
She was a 1980 graduate of Oak Park High School in Kansas City North.
Jan was employed as a cook at Marriott's Circle M Restaurant in Stover until her health failed her.
She was a member of the Stover First Baptist Church.
Jan was always ready for a night of Bingo. She also looked forward to playing board games or watching WWF. However, her greatest enjoyment came from being with her family.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her mother and stepfather, Ann and Jim Black of Stover; her father and stepmother, Darrell and Linda Kirkman of Collins; two cousins, that she raised as sons, Michael Ryun of Venice, Florida and Travis Ryun of Stover; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Knight of Stover; a half-sister and brother-in-law, Darlinda and Clint Lewis of Indiana; a stepbrother, Danny Wilson of Texas; along with nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Jan just found out she was to be a grandmother. Travis is expecting a daughter in early 2015.
Jan was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Lonnie Thomas.
A Celebration of Jan's Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at the First Baptist Church in Stover. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church on Saturday.
