Herbert Lewis Dick

Herbert Lewis Dick, age 72, of Versailles, Missouri died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at his home.
He was born December 15, 1938, in Winnebago, Minnesota, a son of Albert Lewis and Erma Luella Jenkins Dick. On April 2, 1972, Herbert was united in marriage to Barbara Maxine Willis who survives at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was a 1957 graduate of Miller High School in Miller, South Dakota.
He served his country in the US Army National Guard for 27 years, including temporary duty in Honduras.
As a young man, Herb worked for Gambles Corporation in Philip and Pierre, South Dakota. For most of his life he owned and operated his own appliance repair shop in Farmington, Missouri.
Herb and Barbara Maxine spent 30 years together in God's ministry as evangelists and pastors in the Farmington area.
He enjoyed growing roses and tending his vegetable garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Linda Dick of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Wallace and Rhonda Dick of Houston, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Ken Wedge of Wessington, South Dakota; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Melissa and Randy Hartzell, Myron and Karis Dick, Jeffrey Anderson, Mike and Kate Wedge, Danny Wedge, Tommy and Hollie Wedge and Nicole Wedge, also other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sharon Anderson and a brother-in-law, Wesley Anderson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Justin Faron officiating. Interment will be in the Big Rock Cemetery near Barnett.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
