Helen Taylor

Helen L. Taylor, age 84, of Kansas City formerly of Stover, passed away June 28, 2015 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
She was born September 22, 1930, in Eldon, a daughter of Ralph and Mary Knight Kinder. On October 5, 1946 in Kansas City, Helen was united in marriage to Raymond E. Taylor who preceded her in death August 3, 2002.
Helen was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Stover and remained a member of the church until she passed away. She also attended Sycamore Hills Baptist Church while she lived in Independence.
She worked for Wilcox Electric in Kansas City for fifteen years, but spent most of her life as a homemaker, busy raising her son.
She enjoyed shopping, canning, gardening, and cooking.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Darrell and Melinda Taylor of Oak Grove and Tina Freeman; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Taylor; one brother, Arthur Kinder of Kansas City; and three great grandchildren, Jarrett Joe Taylor, Savana and Miya Freeman.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell E. Taylor on January 8, 2005; two brothers, John and Ray Kinder; and one sister, Geraldine Marriott.
Services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Stover with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time.
