Helen E. Kirchner, age 78, of Lohman, died Thursday, October 21, 2010, at her home.
She was born December 10, 1931, in Lohman, the youngest child of Fred and Clara Limbach Meller. On December 29, 1956, at St. Peters Catholic Church in Jefferson City, she married Ralph Kirchner, who survives at their home.
She was a 1949 graduate of Russellville High School.
Helen was a teller with the Farmers Bank of Lohman for many years. She also sold Avon products and worked at Montgomery Wards in Jefferson City.
She was a faithful member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Russellville.
In her spare time she enjoyed embroidery work. However, her greatest enjoyment came from her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Marlene Kirchner of Lohman and Randy Kirchner of Russellville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Henry Meller and Pat and Rita Meller all of Lohman; one sister and brother-in-law , Marie and Louis Hentges of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Brandi Kirchner, Meghan and Ryan Dudenhoeffer, Aaron Kirchner, Amanda Kirchner, Zach Kirchner, Ryan Kirchner and Savannah Kirchner, one great grandson, Jace Kirchner, a great granddaughter who is due on her birthday, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Larry Kirchner in 2008, and three brothers, Sylvester, Lawrence and Roy Meller.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 25, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Russellville with Father Dave Maher officiating. Interment will in the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 24, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund.
