Hazel L. Wilson, age 76, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
She was born January 25, 1937, in Morgan County, a daughter of Alvin Dale Witherell and Oma Naylor.
Hazel retired as a production operator with FASCO in Eldon and for more than 20 years worked at Mertens' Mini Mart in Versailles.
She attended the Locust Baptist Church south of Versailles.
Hazel enjoyed taking care of and being with her family, where she was known as an exceptional cook.
Survivors include her mother, Oma Naylor of Versailles; three children, Wesley Ragene Wilson, Dorsey Dale Wilson and Loretta Fay Yeager and husband George, all of Versailles; special friend, Glen Deffenbaugh of Versailles; one brother, Mancel "Bodge" Witherell and wife Rhonda of Versailles; one sister, Gladys Colvin of Grain Valley; six grandchildren, Timmy and Trisha Wilson, Destinee and Matthew Wilson and Ashley and Joshua Yeager, seven grandchildren, Reagen and Cole Wilson, Kaden McGinnis, Gavin Silkwood, Sydney, Kynzie and Cassie Yeager and Madisen Avey, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hazel was preceded in death by her father, one son, Mancel Gene Wilson, one daughter, Kathy Wilson and one brother Randy Naylor.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
