Harold Oscar Mueller

Harold Oscar Paul Mueller, 87, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

He was born August 31, 1930, in Brazito, Missouri, the son of the late Fred and Marie (Opel) Mueller.

He was united in marriage on March 5, 1961, at Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City to Elizabeth Juliann Beck who preceded him in death on August 18, 2010.

Harold worked as a carpenter, a farmer, and as a rural mail carrier for over 30 years.  He enjoyed tending to his cattle, working the fields, helping his family and neighbors with projects, and any other need that he could help with.

He was a member of Friedens Church in Brazito where he served on the Church Board and Cemetery Board, Cole County Planning Commission, MFA Oil Board, Lohman Producers Exchange Board, Cole County Soil and Water Board, ASCS Board, and was a Rural Carrier Steward of Jefferson City.

His greatest joy was being on the farm, especially riding on his International Harvester 400 tractor; giving hay rides to his family, friends, church groups; and most importantly, spending time with his children, grandchildren, friends, and neighbors.

Survivors include four children, Harold Mueller, Jr., Jefferson City; Becky (Leroy) Meissen, Sturgeon; Keith (Penny) Mueller, Jefferson City; Kelly (Rodney) Hart, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Hanna Mueller, Sierra Mueller, Brandi (Jason) Kirchner, Mat (Keri) Heinrich, Libby Mueller, Garet Steinmetz, Madison Hart, Ethan Hart, Olivia Hart; and four great-grandchildren, Jace Kirchner, Allie Kirchner, Emma Kirchner, and Cole Heinrich.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two sisters, Selma (Elroy) Knernschield; and Emaline Mueller.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Friedens Church, 9522 Pleasant Hill Road, in Brazito.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018, at Friedens Church in Brazito with Rev. Wendell Stoneburner officiating.

Burial will be in Friedens Church Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Friedens Church Cemetery.
