Harold Ray Draffen

Harold Ray Draffen, 58, of Tipton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, in Tipton.

Harold was born on September 21, 1966, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to George S. Sr. and Lillian F. (Schmitt) Draffen, who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Tipton High School and honorably served in the United States Air Force. Harold worked as a pressman at Von Hoffmann Press in Jefferson City and later as a caregiver for children with special needs.

A lover of animals, Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, searching for arrowheads, and mushroom hunting. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Above all, he cherished his children and grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his three children, Austin Draffen (Sara) of High Ridge, Missouri, Niki Asmus (Russ) and Tyler Draffen both of California, Missouri; and his four grandchildren, Natalie, Logen, Russell, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his siblings, Herbie Draffen (Sherry) of Oklahoma, Kenny Draffen of Fulton, Daniel Draffen (Susan) of Jefferson City, Donald Draffen (Shelley) of Tipton, Steven Draffen (Cynthia) of Sedalia, Kathy Kempker (David) of Eldon, Lily Beck (Larry) of Jefferson City, Mary Draffen of Tipton, and Joanne Koechner (Kent) of Tipton; as well as his sister-in-law, Rita Draffen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Draffen Jr., and his grandson, Kaden.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton, Missouri, followed by a Prayer Vigil at 6:00 p.m. led by Father Anthony Viviano. A private interment will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery in Tipton, Missouri.
