Harold Eugene Case

Harold Eugene Case, age 87, of Stover, died early Friday morning, July 23, 2010, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was born July 23, 1923, in Kansas City, Missouri a son of Louis and Cora Mae Blackman Case. On September 21, 1947, Harold was united in marriage to Emma Dorean Schroder at her parent's home near Florence. Dorean survives at their home.
He was an Army/Air Force veteran, serving his country during World War II in Central Europe.
For most of his life Harold was a self-employed carpenter, building many of the homes and businesses in and around the Stover area.
He was a member of the Stover United Methodist Church and a 40-year member of the Stover Lions Club.
Harold enjoyed fishing, woodworking, telling stories and spoiling his grandkids, who affectionately called him "Pa."
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Doris Case of Overland Park, Kansas; Karen and Mike Tollefson of Arlington, Texas and Annette and Lee Pemberton IV of Raymore; one brother and sister-in-law, Merl and Genevieve Case of Warrensburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Dick Mattoon of Kansas City; four grandsons, Chris Tollefson of Arlington, Texas; Jared Tollefson and wife Rachel of Ft. Worth, Texas; Lee Pemberton V and wife Morgan of Hollister and Sean Pemberton of Raymore; two great grandchildren, Hunter Tollefson and Madison Tollefson, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Don Case and two sisters, Ila Mae May and Alice Ruth Tope.
Services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 27, at the Stover United Methodist Church with Pastor Diane Cutler officiating. Interment, with military funeral honors, will be in the Stover Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 26, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover United Methodist Church.
