Gloria Delane Miller

Gloria D. Miller, age 83, of Russellville, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at her home.
She was born November 29, 1928, in Eldon, a daughter of Earl Stanley and Edna Pearl Ackers Ranabarger. On December 1, 1945, in Fort Scott, Kansas she married Kemp Short Miller and to this union one son was born. Kemp preceded her in death April 26, 1985. She married Lloyd Bolden who also preceded her in death.
She attended school in Olean.
She was a member of the Russellville Baptist Church.
Gloria was an accomplished musician, playing Stand-up-Bass with numerous bands in the area and at Bluegrass Festivals. She also played piano, and especially enjoyed playing for family and friends.
She was an avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, Missouri Tigers and NASCAR, and was a die-hard Carl Edwards fan. Gloria enjoyed traveling, creating many memories with her brother and sister-in-law, Bo and Glenda. At home, her beloved daschund "Abby" kept her active and gave her so much love. However, her greatest joy in life was her son, watching him grow up and later in life watching him race.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Diane Miller of Centertown; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell "Bo" and Glenda Ranabarger of Centertown; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathryn and Alfred Kirkweg of Centertown; two step granddaughters, Stephanie and Keith Bias and Carly and Scott Hughes, five step great grandchildren, Dylan, Carson, Cade, Emma and Mason, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James K. Ranabarger and two sisters, Anna Marguerite Watts and Jackie Tambke Knernschield.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Russellville High School Music Department.
In keeping with Gloria's wishes, the family asks everyone to dress in their favorite St. Louis Cardinal or NASCAR shirts.
