Gary Flockhart, age 71, of Cole Camp passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his home.
It was on the 23rd day of July in 1952 that William F. and Donna (Lycke) Flockhart welcomed their son, Gary Dean, into their home in Ames, Iowa.
On June 22, 1991, Gary was united in marriage to Kathy Sisney.
Gary was a graduate of Camdenton High School.
He worked in the forestry division of the Department of Conservation until his retirement.
Gary was a devoted Christian serving as Deacon at his church, First Baptist Church in Stover.
He enjoyed being out in the woods, hunting, and fishing. He was also a lifelong member of the NRA.
Left to carry on his legacy is his wife of thirty-two years, Kathy; sister, Vanessa Goss and husband Duke of Waynesville; brother-in-law, Robert Sisney and wife Mary Lee of Sedalia; sister-in-law, Jane Sisney of Monett; along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Brooke and Justin Flockhart; sister, Terri Flockhart; and brother-in-law, Ron Sisney.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Stover with Rev. Chris Roe officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church.
The burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery in Camdenton.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church.
