Eugene B. Serville

Eugene B. Serville, age 96, of Versailles, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the Raymore Rehabilitation Center in Raymore, Missouri.
He was born January 28, 1917, in Kansas City, Missouri a son of Eugene B., Sr., and Alva M. Bowers Serville. On June 3, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas, Eugene was united in marriage to Mary Dorothy "Mitzi" Bukovac, who preceded him in death September 10, 2001.
He was a Navy veteran, serving his country in World War II.
Gene and Mitzi moved to the area in February of 1960, purchasing Sportsman Inn in Gravois Mills, which they owned and operated until 1980.
When his health began to fail him he moved to Raymore to be near his children.
He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Holzer of Overland Park, Kansas; one son, Gary Serville and wife Zona of Raytown, Missouri; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. Inurnment will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, in the Stover Cemetery.
