Ella Marie Oehrke

Ella Marie Oehrke, age 83, of Stover, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
She was born April 14, 1933, near Cole Camp, a daughter of William A. and Lydia M. Wehrman Oehrke. Ella Marie was baptized Aril 30, 1933 by Rev. A. Kelpe and confirmed August 12, 1945, by Rev. E.O. Baack at Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont. The confirmation verse chosen was Luke 11:28, "Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."
She was a 1951 graduate of Stover High School. In 1953, Ella Marie went to work at Smithson's, Inc. in Stover, where she was a sewing machine operator, retiring after many years of employment.
She was a lifelong, faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont, where she taught Sunday school for more than 25 years and also served as the Sunday school organist.
She enjoyed crocheting, tending to her flowers, sewing and quilting.
Since May of this year, Ella Marie has resided with her great nephew, Travis and his wife Kaye, where she enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include a niece and two nephews, Linda Metscher, Galen Oehrke and Jonathan Oehrke all of Stover; two great nephews, Travis Dority and wife Kaye of Rocky Mount and William Metscher and fiancée Lexi Twenter of Stover; great-great nieces, Kelsey Dority, Kendra Wilson, Justine Woolery and Kenleigh Metscher, great-great nephews, Quentin Wilson and Austin Cotterman, great-great-great nieces, McKenna Ella Marie Sullivan, Aleigha Kaye Roberts and Karsyn Dean Wilson and a great-great-great nephew, Zander Lee Roberts, along with other relatives and friends.
Ella Marie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Glenn and Ervin Oehrke and a sister-in-law, Donice Oehrke.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Monday, October 10, at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont with P.M.A. Gary Wahlers officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Pyrmont.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday.
