Edwin Otto Stark

Edwin Otto Stark, age 76, of Stover, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at his home.
He was born May 23, 1936, in Warrensburg, a son of Benjamin Otto and Audrey Jo Rynard Stark, both deceased. Eddy was united in marriage to Marcia Guinn in 1958, and she preceded him in death in 1963. To this union an infant son, Ricky, was born, who also preceded him in death.
On May 19, 1967, in Warrensburg, Eddy was united in marriage to Vicki Brant, who survives at their home.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961, stationed in California , where he ran the PX craft shop.
Eddy was a retired builder, who built numerous homes in the Warrensburg area during his career.
He was also a wood craftsman, building furniture; making almost all of the furniture for their home, in addition to the furniture for Vicki's classroom when she was teaching.
He was a faithful member of the Stover First Baptist Church.
Eddy had a love for fishing, hunting and gardening, until his health prevented him from doing so. However, he was best known for his organization, honesty, humor, straight-forwardness and encouragement.
In addition to his wife of 45 years, he is survived by three children, Dann Stark and wife Lisa of Windsor, Colorado; Debi (Stark) Bonine of Mokane and Dustin Stark and wife Emily of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Jordann and Jamie Stark of Colorado; Kody Stark and fiancee, Kali Fornoff of Springfield; Kaly Bonine of Holts Summit; Kaleb Bonine of Fulton; Korey Bonine of Mokane and Alexandra and Addison Stark of Jefferson City; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Capitola Burger, Helen Stark, James Stark, Melba Simons and Thelma Brasher.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the Stover First Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Warrensburg. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover First Baptist Church Building Fund or the donor's choice.
