Doris Joyce Case

Doris Joyce Case was born December 22, 1949 to Harold E. Case and Emma Dorean ( Schroder). As the first grandchild in both families, she received lots of love & attention from all her Aunts and Uncles. Doris graduated from Stover High School in 1967. She graduated from Research Hospital and Medical Center School of Nursing in 1972. She cared for many patients during her 20 years at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City. She later worked at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Doris has always been a loving, generous person. Her sisters nicknamed her Dodi, and she later became Aunt Dodi to Chris, Jared, Lee, and Sean. She enjoyed time spent with her 4 nephews; cuddling and caring for them as babies, spoiling them with birthday and Christmas gifts, and playing games like Monopoly. Doris also adopted her friends' children & became Aunt Dodi to them. Doris loved Christmas and any family get togethers, and was always taking pictures and movies. She also enjoyed taking sewing classes with her friends and completed many Martha Pullen classes. Her friends and family were frequently delighted recipients of what she learned in these classes. Doris passed away July 5, 2023 in Raymore, MO. She is survived by her sister, Karen Tollefson of Arlington, TX; and sister Annette Pemberton and husband Lee of Raymore, MO. We were blessed to have her and we will all miss her.
