Donald F. Browner, age 72, of Russellville, died Friday, November 12, 2010, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born April 28, 1938, in Centertown a son of John and Ethel Browner. On February 7, 1959, Donald was united in marriage to Betty Siebert, who survives at their home.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country in Germany.
Donald retired from the State of Missouri as Maintenance Supervisor in 2000.
He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Russellville and the Russellville Masonic Lodge # 90, serving as Worthy Master.
His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them, They made many fond memories together, going on annual family vacations, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed deep sea fishing. Donald looked forward to family visits and Sunday dinners. He always made time for his grandchildren and they loved being at grandma and grandpa's house.
He will be remembered and loved for his enjoyable and loving personality.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by three children, Keith Browner and wife Pam, children, Chelsea and Weston of Russellville; Kevin Browner and wife Claudia, daughter Anja of Jefferson City and sons Jesse and Ethan and their mother, Lina Browner of Russellville and Kim Wineland and husband Jamie, children Cody Papen, Dalton, Dillon and Bailey of Lohman; two great grandchildren, Austin and Kaden Browner of Lake Mykee; two brothers, Jim Browner and wife Evelyn Marie of New Bloomfield and Raymond Browner and wife Joyce of Russellville; two sisters, Helen Hader and Linda Morton both of Jefferson City; a sister-in-law, Norma June Browner of Fenton; also many special nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Darla Browner, one brother, Robert Browner and one sister, Betty Robinette.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 15, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Russellville with Rev. Alan Earls officiating. Interment, with military funeral honors, will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 14, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville, with a Masonic service at 3:30 P.M.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
