Dixie Ivie

Dixie Lee Ivie, 78, of Stover, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home.

Dixie was born on July 29, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Robert White and Doris (Hemple) Montiel. On January 26, 1967, she married Michael Ivie.

Dixie was known for her hardworking nature, retiring from Tyson Foods where she worked in the recycling department. While she was dedicated to her work, her true passion lay in caring for her family. She found joy in the simple things in life, from tending to her flower beds and vegetable garden to watching birds and keeping her feeders full. Dixie was a natural worrier, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Ivie; five children: Denise Ivie, Robert Ivie and wife Amanda Sue, Michael Ivie and wife Rhonda, Chris Ivie and wife Billie, and Daniel Ivie, all of Stover; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one special great-great-grandchild; her sister, Clara Sue Cook of Kansas City, Kansas; along with many extended family members and friends.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Montiel, Jr.

In accordance with her wishes, Dixie will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
