Dennia Franklin Duffer

Dennia F. Duffer, age 70, of the Ivy Bend community south of Stover, passed away at his home unexpectedly Thursday, November 14, 2013.
He was born April 30, 1943, in Proctor, the only child of Harvey John and Nina Marie Webb Duffer. On July 17, 1960, in Ivy Bend, Dennia was united in marriage to Retha Edwards, who survives at their home.
He was self-employed, working various construction jobs in the Stover area.
He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Dennia enjoyed being outdoors, especially time spent at the lake fishing. He also was a musician, playing bass guitar and the keyboard.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by a daughter, Audrey Shewmaker of Stover; one son, Dennis Duffer of the home; along with many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November
19, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover; with the family receiving friends from 12:00 noon until service time.
Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
