Denice Bowers

Denice Bowers, age 72, of Stover passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
It was on the 10th day of December in 1951 that Leo Keith and Margaret Comstock welcomed their daughter into their home in Natchez, Mississippi.
On May 27, 1971, Denice was united in marriage to Bill Bowers in Versailles. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2016.
Denice was a hard worker. She also liked taking caring of people which led to her working in health care and at nursing homes. She also worked at Casey's in Stover for many years. Finally retiring from Wal-Mart to take care of Bill.
She loved her cats. She always liked to stay busy doing little things like scrapbooking, puzzles, and sewing. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family.
Faith was very important to Denice. She was a firm believer in Jesus and is resting high with him now.
Left to carry on her legacy is her son, Leo Bowers and wife Chelsie of Kaiser; two daughters and their husbands, Pam and Everett Downing of Stover and Holly and Gary Huff of Versailles; seven grandchildren, Everette, Cody, Leo Jr., Kaylee, Megan, William, and Sunny; three great grandchildren, Charlie, Ellie, and Sawyer; along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany.
In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated.
