Delbert Keith "Del" Fields

Delbert Keith "Del" Fields, age 49, of Versailles passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at his home. He was born September 22, 1964, in Kansas City, a son of Henry "Hank" and Betty Schirlls Fields. Delbert true love was his music. He was an accomplished musician, founding the Dealer's Choice Band, where he played lead guitar and vocals, as well as playing with many local bands throughout the Central Missouri area. He also spent time touring with David Allen Coe and for three years played at the Wildwood Flower in Branson. Survivors include his father, Henry "Hank" Fields and companion Louise Roll of Versailles; girlfriend Courtney Carpio and her daughters, Selena, Paisley and Sahara all of Versailles; his stepmother, Dorothy Harbin of Versailles; four brothers, Darrel Fields and wife Tracey of Versailles; Rick Tripp of Kansas City; Donald Dean Tripp and wife Jeannie of Maryville and Kurt Fuelling and wife Kim of Clinton; three sisters, Roxann Fields of Versailles; Pam Fuller and husband Sherman of Warsaw and Crystal Stevenson of Scott City; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Tammy Maxine Fields. Delbert will be cremated. A Memorial Service is planned for a later date.
