David Arthur Knipp

David Arthur Knipp, age 74, of Columbia, MO died May 1, 2022, at his home.

He was born on January 29, 1948, in Boonville, MO, the son of Arthur and Edith (Kuttenkuler) Knipp, who preceded him in death.

David worked as an administrative assistant in the psychology department at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was a veracious reader and enjoyed traveling with his father to military reunions all over the country. David served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by two brothers, Randy Knipp (Carol) of Kansas City, MO and Bradley Knipp (Lisa) of Tipton; six nieces and nephews, Katherine Knipp-Willis (Shawn), Lorene Burney (Nathan), Abby Knipp, Clayton Lee Knipp (Melissa), Bradley Ross Knipp (Rayelyn), and Becky McKinney (Dave); and several great nieces and nephews. David was very proud of his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Vincent Knipp

A memorial mass will be at 11:00 am Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tipton, MO with Father Alex Gabriel, officiating. Prayers of the Holy Rosary will be said at 9:30 am followed by visitation until service time, at the church.

Burial will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Tipton, MO.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Andrew Catholic School.
