David J. Kliethermes, age 49, of Russellville, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at his home.
He was born March 25, 1960, in Cole County, a son of August H. and Marie F. Steuber Kliethermes. He married Cathy White Wyss August 29, 2003, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville. Cathy survives at their home.
He was a graduate of Fatima High School. Dave served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1978-1984. He had worked in construction, as an auto mechanic and a cook.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Alecia Kliethermes of Linn and Shelbi Potter of Russellville; two stepdaughters, Susan Hoellering of California and Layna Wyss of Holts Summit; one son, Dustan J. Kliethermes of the state of California; two brothers, Daniel Kliethermes of Cole County and Richard Kirsch of Loose Creek; two sisters, Joyce Muenks of Loose Creek and Debbie Kruse of Jefferson City; two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Theodore Kirsch.
In keeping with his wishes, Dave was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 24, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor David Carlson officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5 in Jefferson City.
