David Lee Bolten

September 17, 1934 — February 8, 2011

David Lee Bolten, 76, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He was born September 17, 1934, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Edward H. and Ruth E. (Reid) Bolten.
David married Carolyn Branson Woods on September 19, 1986. She preceded him in death February 14, 2003.
He graduated from St. Peter's High School in Jefferson City in 1952. He began his career by working with his father at Southside Conoco, then moved onto various car agencies before settling into a long association with Lincoln/Mercury/Ford in the part's department. His passion was working with cars, making them sparkle, and traveling to various places with them.
He is survived by sons Lindel Bolten and Keith Bolten and wife Linda of Jefferson City; daughters Carol Clark and husband Mike of Jefferson City and Paula Karl and husband Tom of Farmington; daughter Michelle Bolten of Kansas City and stepchildren Rick Ponder and wife Debbie, Rodney Ponder and wife Sheila, Becky Ponder and Renae Ponder all of Jefferson City; son David Nichols and wife Miriam and stepson Donald Woods and wife Brenda all of Ashland; sisters, Susan Kuntz and husband Rich of San Diego, California and Norma Boes and husband Bill of Jefferson City; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ruth Bolten.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 11, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville, with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. www.scrivner-morrow.com
