Darrel Lee Fields, 63, of Dearborn, MO passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in St. Joseph, MO.
Darrel was born in Kansas City, MO on January 17, 1960, to Henry “Hank” and Betty (Schirlls) Fields, who preceded him in death.
On July 30th, 1983 in Versailles, MO, he was united in marriage to Tracey Ann Comstock, who survives of the home.
Darrel served his county honorable in the US Army from 1981 to 1985. He later operated heavy equipment in the construction business and worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections for over twenty years.
Survivors include his daughter, Laura Fields of Dearborn, son, Roy Fields and his wife Jordan Mahalovich, both of Sedalia, three grandchildren, Lexi Fields, Anderson Fields, and Eliis Fields; and several brothers and sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert Fields and Richard Tripp; one sister, Tammy Fields; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home Sedalia, MO with Pastor Chris Kendell, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Full military honors will be rendered.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover, MO.
