Daril Lee Burnett

November 12, 1949 — February 2, 2012

Daril Lee Burnett, age 62, of Stover, died unexpectedly, Thursday, February 2, 2012, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born November 12, 1949, in Morgan County, a son of Donald Lewis and Cloetta Marriott Burnett. On April 26, 1968, he was united in marriage to Mary Riley, and to this union three sons were born. Mary survives in Syracuse.
Daril was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life.
Until his health failed him, he enjoyed being outdoors were he could hunt and fish, especially running trot lines.
Daril is also survived by three sons and their girlfriends, Tony Burnett and Nikki Simmons, Todd Burnett and Courtney Parker and Chad Burnett and Hannah Wright all of Stover; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dean and Retha Burnett of Hallsville and Kevin Burnett of Fortuna; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Vickie Burnett of Tebbetts; Janice and Donnie Dorsey of Clarksburg; Judy and Ralph Widner of St. Joseph and Linda Albin and Dave Duncan of Latham; seven grandchildren, Shelby Marie Burnett, Weston, Megan and Joshua Burnett; Preston and Devin Burnett, and Landen Burnett who is due in March, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Daril was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Randy and Melvin Burnett and one sister, Stella Burnett.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 5, at Campfire Fellowship Church on Highway 50 east of Tipton, with Bro. Larry Marriott officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Daril L. Burnett Memorial Fund in care of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, 210 East Jasper Street, Versailles, MO 65084.
