Daisy L. Cook

Daisy L. Cook, age 78, of Stover, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Lake Regional Health Center in Osage Beach.
She was born August 27, 1932, in Marshall, North Carolina, a daughter of Willie Wade and Polly Gentry Treadway. On November 28, 1966, at the Pope Air Force Base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Daisy married Cecil L. Cook, who survives at their home.
She worked at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover and the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, retiring in 1997 as a CMT.
She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Daisy was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes for her children when they were young and was known for her many beautiful crocheted pieces. She also liked deer hunting, fishing and tending to her garden. However, her greatest enjoyment came from the time she could spend with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Cecil, she is survived by five children, Richard "Bo" Greene of Sedalia; Lisa Lindeman of Sedalia; Angelia Wheeler of Stover; Cecilia Wilson and husband Wes of Stover and Christina Burke and husband Brian of Versailles; two brothers, Jack Treadway of Detroit and Johnny Treadway of the state of Texas; five sisters, Shirley Treadway, Blanche Walker and Evelyn Walker all of Marshall, North Carolina; Betty Barnes of Jellico, Tennessee and Virginia Lucille Redding of Hendersonville, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Pamela Diane Craig in 1980 and Julia King in 2001 and three brothers, Joseph, Willie and Grover Treadway.
Grave side services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, at the Stover Cemetery with Rev. Robert "Bob" Sanders officiating. Gary Schubert, Brian Burke, Danny Payne, Bob Sanders, Ike Folsom and Isom Folsom will serve as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
