Clifford "Cliff" Bumgardner, age 62, of Stover, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born October 8, 1953 to Clifford Gerald and Georgia Beatrice Utter Bumgardner. He was united in marriage on January 6, 2001 in Versailles to Anita Wells, who survives at the home.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1992.
Cliff worked as a truck driver for Potters in Boonville, he was a K-9 Officer and Court Bailiff for Morgan County, he co-owned Bumgardner Bail Bonds in Versailles with his wife Anita, and he worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections in Tipton from 2003 until his retirement in 2013.
He was a Life Member of VFW Post 15026.
He liked camping, hunting, his dogs, and his truck. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. He loved being with his kids and grandkids.
Along with his wife of 15 years he is survived by one son, Brody Bumgardner of the home; three daughters, Brittney Boyd and husband Calvin of Stover, Kayla Bumgardner and Kane Bracher of Union, and Shelbie Bartlett and husband Brandon of Stover; five grandchildren, Justus, Paisley, Lynleigh, Walker, and Henry; three brothers and their spouses, Marty and Donna Casto of Morgantown, WV, Timmy and Mary Bumgardner of Westin, WV, and Kevin and Kim Bumgardner of West Virginia; four sisters and their spouses, Deborah and William Snyder of West Milford, WV, Judy and Harold Gains of Clarksburg, WV, Alicia and Mark Patterson of Salem, WV, and Lynn and Robert Henning of Clarksburg, WV; one brother-in-law, Charlie Wells of Stover; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Cliff is preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Bumgardner; one sister, Linda Sue McCune; one brother-in-law, Mike Wells; and his mother and father-in-law, Orville and Sharon Wells.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Pastor Steve Robinson will be officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will be in the Stover Cemetery. Tony Parrish, Bill "Doc" Jones, Dustin Dunklee, Logan Wells, Matt Folsom, and Charlie Wells will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Brody Bumgardner Educational Fund.
