Chester Baker, age 67, of Independence passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his home.
On the 13th day of January in 1955, Irston Adelbert and Edith Ann Baker welcomed their baby boy, Chester Adelbert, into their home in Independence.
Chester worked as a press operator for a printing company.
Chester loved the KC Chiefs and getting together with family and friends to watch the game and visit. He always loved reading his bible and had it at his side at all times. He loved being with his family and he loved fishing. He always had a thing for helping people, and he was a genuine, big hearted person that always wanted to make people laugh.
Chester is survived by his three siblings, Clay Baker, Ann Grubbs, Jaslynne Baker, his three children, Tony Baker (partner, Lisa Baker), Christy Mullins (partner, Arnie Mullins) and Chairty Baker, his grandchildren, Daulton Baker, Dustin Baker (partner, Tabitha Baker), Malcolm Baker (partner, Chyenne Baker), Aaron Vansell Jr., Kayla Loethen (partner, Dusty Loethen), Taylor Hammon (partner, Marcus Hammon), Billy Hughes, Destiny Bright, Draven Bright, Chase Bright, Desmond Baker, Preston Mullins, Braden Mullins, Wesley Mullins, Alexis Parsons (partner, Tristan Parsons), Shelby Folsom and Sadie Ahrens, his great grandkids, Ashton Baker, Mason Baker, Jase Baker, Grady Vansell, Kolsen Vansell, Rosaleen Baker, Ryder Hammon, Leon Hammon, Kaynan Hammon, Darrion Pryor Jr., Skyla Parsons, Maggie Ahrens, Desmond Ahrens, Asher Saunders, and he had many nieces and nephews that he loved and adored.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith A. Baker, his father, Irston A. Baker, and his two brothers, Ross Baker, and Berry Baker.
A graveside service for Chester will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Stover Cemetery.
